Will Mortgage Rates Drop? Should You Wait?

One of the questions I hear most is: "Should I wait for mortgage rates to come down?"

The honest answer is... no one knows exactly where rates are headed.

Mortgage rates are influenced by inflation, the economy, employment reports, and the bond market—not just Federal Reserve announcements. While many experts expect rates to gradually improve over time, unexpected economic news can change the outlook quickly.

Here's what I tell my clients:

• Buy when you're financially ready. • Don't try to perfectly time the market. • Remember—you can refinance later if rates improve.

Many buyers have successfully purchased homes while waiting for a future opportunity to lower their payment through refinancing. We can also explore temporary rate buydowns and other financing options.

The best rate isn't always the lowest interest rate—it's the loan that best fits your financial goals.
